Fireball Kickoff Points Race Standings

With three events completed, there are four players competing for four package deals. That means the points race is just for bragging rights!

Rory Wiseman: 12 pts

Ben Davis: 12 pts

Jimmy Kirby: 10 pts

Paul Ledger: 7 pts

The last chance for these players to earn points will come Saturday, June 5th during the BYP portion of our BYP/DYP Double Up.

Fireball Points Race Update 2

Well, thanks to Tyler Tornello it looks like we'll be able to provide $200 worth of hotel money for our Fireball Kickoff Package winners!

If money was the issue before, more of our players should be able to consider this event. Now you could win a package deal AND get all or most of the hotel bill covered too! That just leaves the cost of getting there, extra events and spending money to the individual players!

Thanks again Tyler!!!!

Points Race Update

Due to the short time available to plan for the trip  down to Ft. Lauderdale, we will allow individual entries to register for the packages. However, the two Open Doubles players and two Novice doubles players that win packages will be expected to play together in the division in which they will be representing us.

Keep in mind that registered teams will receive priority over registered individuals.  In other words, if a registered team has the same or greater combined points total vs the two leading individual points earners, the registered team will receive the packages.

Good luck to all.

Points Race For Fireball Packages

On June 11-13, there will be a $3000 foosball tournament held on Fireball Foosball Tables. This event will take place at Strikers Family Sportscenter in Sunrise, FL.  (flyer)

From May 12th, through June 5th, we will have a four event points race to select an Open Doubles Team and a Novice Doubles Team to represent us at the Fireball Tour Kickoff. This points race will consist of the four BYPs scheduled 5/12/10 - 06/05/10. Players MUST register AS A TEAM ($0), and commit to attending the Fireball Event should they be our representatives. All registered teams MUST play AT LEAST ONE of the BYPs TOGETHER. At the end of the points race, the REGISTERED TEAM with the most combined points will be our OPEN DOUBLES Representative. The registered team with the next highest points total that is also qualified to play the Fireball Event as NOVICES (based on the flyer and USTSA points) will be our NOVICE Representative. The four winning representatives will each receive a free package deal AND registration for the Fireball Kickoff.

Only local JTSPA Members, living in DUVAL COUNTY and SURROUNDING COUNTIES that share a border with Duval, will be eligible to be our representatives.

If a registered player wins any local JTSPA BYP during the points race, they will earn points equal to the number of teams participating in that event. All other registered players will earn points proportional to their finishing position in the event.

T-Bone Makes an Appearance at UBC for The Bring-Draw

On Wednesday, April 28th We held our all new Bring Draw event at UBC. This event allows players to enter as a team, OR to put their name in the hat for a drawn partner.

The tourney was won by Chris C. and Rory W., but the highlight of the evening was an appearance by Tyler "T-Bone" Tornello. Tyler played with Ben Davis, and placed a respectable 3rd in his first Tornado event in about 3 years! In addition to playing, Tyler donated $60 to the Hubbard House AND $50 to our tournament payout!

For those of you who didn't know, Tyler has played a key role in ALL of the JTSPA charity fundraisers, donating his time and money and convincing many others to donate as well. Without Tyler's contributions, none of our fund-raising efforts would have been worth mentioning.

Feel free to add your thanks to Tyler on the NetFoos.com forum thread titled "Tyler T".
