Super Bowl Party a Success!

Thanks to all who came out for the party!

Even Fred contributed by being the butt-head every party needs to bring the rest of the participants together! Fred showed his big butt all night long, but we didn't let it ruin our fun! Besides, he paid the price after falling asleep too close to the magic markers! No Fred it wasn't me, but I did get a great big laugh out of it!

The food was tremendous, the red beans, jalapeno popper dip and buffalo chicken dip were big hits!

With plenty of adult beverages available, everyone got into a great mood.

Even though we only had one table, the tourney was a blast with eight teams. Rory and Dave Hydle (Yes, Dave made an appearance after a year on the road!) got the win, with Hugh and Ben taking second.

Big thanks go to Rae Crawford, who took charge of the cleanup team and Ben Davis for hosting our annual shindig!

How 'bout them Saints! They won a GREAT game by controlling Indy all night long! This was DEFINITELY one of the best games ever and certainly the most popular winner in many years!

Hopefully, we'll see most of you again before the next party. Stay tuned for JTSPA/JaxFoos updates!

We've got a poker table ready to set up, TWO FOOSBALL TABLES (tourney time!), TWO flatscreen TVs, tunes, a grill for yer non-vegetarian items, MY bad-ass N'Awlins style red beans and rice,  some hard liquor (for those who can handle it) and storage space for whatever beers you feel like bringing!

We've got ribs, chicken, shrimp, burgers and hot dogs covered. If you want steak or lobster, you'll have to bring it with ya! Bring your own beer if that's your drink of choice. Let me know if you're coming.

POINTS REVIEW

It has been noted that there are several players with minimal handicap ratings, and that this is skewing the results by giving maximum handicap assistance to players with too much experience.

Due to this fact, EVERYONE'S points will be reviewed, and updated where deemed appropriate.

In addition, we will reserve the right to make corrections DURING tournaments, but only between matches. Once a match has started, the handicap ratings in effect will count.

If you believe someone's rating is not appropriate for our handicap scale, you MUST bring it to our attention BEFORE your match begins or you will have to live with the results.

Our Handicap System was originally designed to give less experienced players HOPE, and a chance to win if their more experienced opponents play below their ability. The largest handicaps should only be applied when two top-five players play two TRUE BEGINNERS. We will use this as a guideline while reviewing the individual points and when considering any mid-event adjustments.

First-Time Winner!

Congratulations to Chris Pockelwald, who got his first local tournament win on Wednesday, December 23rd

Chris' partner was Hugh Wintin, and the event was a DYP.

They won the Winner's Bracket, and held off Chris Carson and Dave Sevic in the final.

Chris C. and Dave won the first set of the finals 2-0, with Chris P. and Hugh winning the second set 2-0.
