Big thanks to everyone who attended my Birthday Bash BYP/DYP Double-Up, especially Ray and AL who drove up from Orlando.

Ray and Al did a great job in the BYP after losing their first match, winning four matches in the loser's bracket before double-dipping Chris and Rory. It seems like Ray and Al are the only O-town players that can win in J-ville!!

I was lucky enough to draw Bill Crawford in the DYP and, thanks mostly to his GREAT passing from the back, we won it without losing a match!

The next BYP/DYP Double-Up will be held on Saturday, June 5th.

On Saturday, April 3rd there will be TWO events!
We'll be celebrating MY birthday with a
BYP at 7 pm, and a DYP at 9 pm.
To spice things up, we will add $100 to each event with
8 or more teams.
For less than 8 teams, the add-in will be $50.
The base entry fee for each event will be $5 per person.
Call-in registration will end 30 minutes before each
event's start time.

Due to a lack of attendance, particularly at the Beginner/Novice Event, BOTH events will be put on hold. This will give us time to brainstorm ideas to either replace these events OR how to improve them and provide a package that will be appealing to players and draw a decent turnout.

For those who don't understand how the Beginner/Novice Event affects the Attendance Event, the quarters take from BOTH events has to cover the payout for the Attendance event. This hasn't happened since the first time we tried these events. Both events have to be successful UNLESS the players are willing to pay a normal entry fee. This is one of the options that will allow us to keep these events. If you have any other ideas, including alternate events, please let me know at one of our Weds. or Sat. events.

Beginning February 27th, the premier monthly event in J-ville will have NO handicapping. On the last Saturday of each month, we have a BYP with a $10 base entry fee. This event is perfect for traveling foosers: no handicap, good payout and good competition. The February 27th edition will have a bonus $50 added ON TOP of our regular add-in, based on the quarters take from the tables.

This is your chance to see how you stack up against Jacksonville's best, so bring your best game!
