November 18th, Last Chance Qualifier for Points Race Finals
At LEAST two players will qualify for the Finals with a 16 player field.
If we expand the Finals field to 32 players, at LEAST six players will qualify.
This event DOES NOT earn Race points. The LCQ will be a handicapped Split-Draw. This will allow players from all three divisions equal opportunity at the last qualifier slots.
November 19th & 20th, Fall Points Race Finals, begins at 8pm Nov. 19th.
This event will earn DOUBLE POINTS as the LAST EVENT in the Race.
Division winners will receive $100 award AFTER Race Finals are over.
EVENT BREAKDOWNS
DYPs = 10 (3 for DOUBLE POINTS)
Split-Draws = 3 (ALL for DOUBLE POINTS), plus the LCQ
Limiteds = 2 (BOTH for DOUBLE POINTS)
BYPs = 7 (3 for DOUBLE POINTS)
Handicapped Events = 13 (8 for DOUBLE POINTS), plus LCQ
NON-Handicapped Events = 9 (7 for DOUBLE POINTS)
Due to several factors, such as: the fact that this event is an extension of our regular, weekly formats; MOST of our events being handicapped and/or DYP formats; the fact that this is a multi-divisional competition; etc., the Points Race Finals will be a Handicapped DYP.
For higher-rated players, who prefer divisional events without handicaps: those formats will be available in SEVERAL events at the $3500.
For players that don’t mind working for their money, even against lower-rated players: this is THE EVENT for YOU, regardless of skill level.
This is probably the ONLY event scheduled in the US, where ANYONE COULD WIN, that has $800 in the purse, with $400 for first place!
Of course, the stats DO show that the highest-rated players SHOULD still get the lion’s share of the prizes. They just can’t count on coasting past the lower-rated teams without playing their “A-games”.
The bonus is that the lower-rated players, (you know, the ones who help inflate the payouts the big dogs like to cash in), will get a good chance to get paid too.
