POINTS REVIEW

It has been noted that there are several players with minimal handicap ratings, and that this is skewing the results by giving maximum handicap assistance to players with too much experience.

Due to this fact, EVERYONE'S points will be reviewed, and updated where deemed appropriate.

In addition, we will reserve the right to make corrections DURING tournaments, but only between matches. Once a match has started, the handicap ratings in effect will count.

If you believe someone's rating is not appropriate for our handicap scale, you MUST bring it to our attention BEFORE your match begins or you will have to live with the results.

Our Handicap System was originally designed to give less experienced players HOPE, and a chance to win if their more experienced opponents play below their ability. The largest handicaps should only be applied when two top-five players play two TRUE BEGINNERS. We will use this as a guideline while reviewing the individual points and when considering any mid-event adjustments.

First-Time Winner!

Congratulations to Chris Pockelwald, who got his first local tournament win on Wednesday, December 23rd

Chris' partner was Hugh Wintin, and the event was a DYP.

They won the Winner's Bracket, and held off Chris Carson and Dave Sevic in the final.

Chris C. and Dave won the first set of the finals 2-0, with Chris P. and Hugh winning the second set 2-0.

New Points

Points have been updated for the upcoming year. This was done using calculations based on each individual's tournament history on netfoos. Each player's last 50 results were incorporated into the calculation. If anyone is curious to know exactly how this was done feel free to email me. The Jaxfoos Top 10 does not include out of town players who have local points based on their tour ranks.
